The Value of Your Broker

With the click of a button, you can buy an airline ticket to anywhere in the world, order a pizza, pay your power bill. And buy your life insurance.

So why are we here? What can we do, that you can’t already do yourself?

Five reasons why we add value to the purchase of one of life’s most important decisions:

  1.  How do you decide how much you really need, and what type of insurance is better for you? Your broker will sit with you, review your financial situation, and help you work out the best scenario if you were to die, become disabled, or suffer a serious medical illness. Your broker has vast experience at dealing with the before and after of unfortunate events. Often when you buy on-line you will go through a brief financial needs analysis, but it is a generic questionnaire and won’t cover your unique circumstances, and could leave you short when you really need insurance funds the most.
  2. Who is on your side at a claim time? When things go wrong you want to be able to pick up the phone and have a claim sorted, someone you know who is not employed by the insurance company, and is looking out for your best interests.
  3. Are you really getting a better deal by buying direct? Most on-line insurance products seem attractive and cheap, but don’t be fooled. They will increase after the first or second year.
  4. Can you be sure that you’ve answered those brief on-line medical questions correctly? When you sit down with your broker and complete an application form, you can feel safe in the knowledge that a comprehensive questionnaire on your medical history is fully disclosed. No policy voids at a crucial claim time. There is no point in paying premiums for years to find out you get nothing when it matters most.
  5. You can call us anytime, or request a follow-up from us every 6, 12, or 24 months, so we can review your circumstances and check up on missed opportunities. Life is constantly changing, debts increase or decrease, families expand, children leave home, businesses bought and sold. You want your cover to reflect these changes and adequate protection be in place.

An on-line insurance purchase can not provide any of these services. Often an email address is the only communication choice you have. With us there will always be a friendly smiling face at the end of the phone, a broker you have met, and an office in Auckland’s North Shore.
